Melanie performed great in the finals today at
the VISA American Cup. She started off on vault averaging a
9.349! This score earned her a silver medal, behind her teammate
Alicia Sacramone (9.387)! She then moved onto the floor exercise
finals at which she had a bit of trouble staying in bounds on her
second tumbling pass (RO-FHS-Double Front); She scored a 9.012.
This caused Melanie to slip out of the medals, but she can
certainly be proud of herself for filling in at the last minute
and walking away with a silver medal on vault! Congratulations
Melanie!!
