When Orlando Metro opened its doors on November 14, 1992 under the
d/b/a Brown's
Gymnastics Metro it had immediate success in the women's
program that still continues
today. In that first season, several gymnasts qualified to
Level 9 Regionals and Level
10
Nationals. In the next season, one of Jeff
Wood's
athletes advanced to National
Team status at Level 10. There
were many Level 9 Regional team members in that
same season as
well. The 1994 to 1995 competitive season resulted in a
gymnast
reaching the lofts goal of competition in the U.S.
Championships. Since that time the
Orlando Metro girls' team
program has developed into one of the premier training
programs
available today. Participation on an Orlando Metro girls' or
boys'
competitive team is by invitation only.
