The tramp and tumbling team competed in Schaumburg,
Illinois July 6 - 14th at Nationals. There were 1732 athletes that
competed from 37 states and 217 clubs were represented.

Last week Kassi Price competed in her
last National Championships before heading off to the school year
to Alabama. Nationals were held in St. Paul, Minnesota and
Kassi competed and did not disappoint.

gold and silver medals for Shayla in Hawaii

Shayla Worley competed
for
TEAM USA in the 2006
Pacific Alliance Championships in Hawaii. She helped the
team win the gold medal and qualified herself to the uneven bars
event finals where she won the silver medal.

assignments and level 10 nationals
April 9, 2006
Shayla Worley and
Kassi Price both performed great at the
recent National Team Training Camp and both received more
international assignments! Shayla will be heading to Hawaii
for the 2006 Pacific Alliance Championships and Kassi will be
heading to Moscow, Russia for the World Cup. The Pacific Alliance
Championships start on April 16th with the all-around and continue
on April 15th with event finals. Be sure to tune into NBC at
4:00 pm EST to watch
TEAM
USA take on other
countries around the world! Good Luck Shayla!!
The World Cup starts on May 13th and ends on the 15th.
Details will be posted as the event approaches.

Orlando metro dominated the Florida State
Championships in Clearwater this past weekend. Metro's team level

Kassi Price
did very well for her first competition under the new code of
points. She qualified to three event finals; uneven bars,
floor exercise, and vault. Kassi had great success in the
finals bringing home a silver and a bronze medal!

SUCCESS FOR SHAYLA AT
THE AMERICAN CUP
MARCH 5, 2006
In the preliminary round on Friday,
Shayla Worley performed
flawlessly and placed second in the all-around behind Nastia
Liukin. Both US gymnasts qualified for finals as the top
gymnasts to beat.

International assignments for Metro's Elites
February 26,
2006
Since last Wednesday,
Shayla Worley and
Kassi Price have been at the National Team Training Camp in
Houston, Texas verifying their routines in hope for an
international assignment. Both girls performed great and
received international assignments! Shayla will be
representing the US at this weekend's Tyson American Cup and both
girls will be traveling to Cottbus, Germany for the Cottbus Cup on
March 25-26.

Levels 9 and 10 bring
home another win at the pikes peak meet

The levels 9 and 10 are off to
great start with another undefeated season so far with only three
more meets to go. Congratulations girls!!
Next week is a big week for Orlando Metro's
Kassi Price and
Shayla Worley. They will be attending the National Team
Training Center in Texas to try to get a spot on the 2006 American
Cup team. Good Luck girls!!! |

won at the Blackjack National Gymnastics Championships
February 3,
2006
A great showing for Orlando Metro this past weekend
in Las Vegas. The level 9 men took home the team title with a
score of 144.35. Wyatt Aycock took 3rd place all around
in the combined session, Sean Melton was the pommel horse gold
medalist and Darrion Moore had a strong showing of 9th
place in his first year as a level 9 athlete! Congratulations
boys!!

METRO HAD A SUCCESSFUL
WEEKEND AT THE SAND DOLLAR INVITE and withlow invite
January 27, 2006
Metro's levels 4, 9, and 10 won
the team titles!! Numerous all-around and event medals were
won by Metro all weekend. The boys level 9-10 team took
second place as a team and they also placed in the all-around and
events as individuals.
